Jenepher Parry Davies

The Home of. . .

Jenepher’s first album, ‘Music on a Sunday: An Seisun da Domnaigh’ in 2010 provided an opportunity for some University Media students to record. It was an album of classical and Traditional Irish Music with Carla Mangiagelli and Loretta O’Shea (vocals), Alban Rees Jones (Organ/keyboard), Patsy Hehir (Whistle) and Caroline Cotterell (violin).

This, her first solo album, was inspired by Sean Gilsennan, Geraldine McFlynn, Pat Casey, Austin Nevin, Frank Baxter and all those gifted musicians, fondly known as The Bushwackers and many other artists, Brier, P J Murrihy,, Seamus Shannon, Dermot Hegarty, Sean Sweeney and the Anally Ceilidh band, Enda McGlone, Mary O’Brien Sweeney, Brenda Kane, Pat Jordan, Curtis

Magee, Taylor’s Cross, Mike Barry.

We’ve spent many a happy evening playing into the small hours – heading for our beds as the early birds made their way to breakfast...!

Jenepher includes some of her favourite and much requested songs. She acknowledges and much appreciates all who have advised and contributed to the production of this album.
